Do players need to install an app?
No. padelOS runs in the browser on any phone: players sign up, join a tournament with their partner and follow every match live.
What is a sandbagger?
A player who enters a category below their real level to win it. padelOS's AI flags them, so every match stays fair, balanced, and competitive.
How does padelOS keep categories fair?
It curates every pair against a comprehensive player database, and its AI flags sandbaggers. The organizer still has the last word on every entry.
How does a pair join a tournament?
On the tournament's page, Join opens the form: pick the category, add your partner, answer the organizer's questions and attach the payment proof if asked. The organizer approves each entry, and a full category keeps a waiting list.
Who scores the matches?
Referees, on their phones: signed in, or through a referee link the organizer shares. Each picks the match by category and court, and every point reaches the live pages at once, catching up by itself when the signal comes back.
Can the scores go up on a screen at the venue?
Yes. The TV page shows every court of the day with its live score and the latest results. Open it in the browser of any TV or LED screen.
Which formats can I run?
Round robin (single or double), groups and then a knockout, or a straight knockout, with match rules for each round. Clubs can also meet in ties of pairs, with a line-up before each tie.
Do results count towards the rankings?
Yes. When a tournament is complete, its knockout results earn ranking points for every player, shown on their player page, and its champions join the Hall of Fame.
How do I start my first tournament?
Create an account, fill in your tournament's details and send it. A padelOS admin approves it, and then it opens for pairs to join.
